May Episode Recap
Episode 247 was the much requested return of the Literacy Queen herself, Dr. Carol Krueger. Her first appearance in Episode 90 was wildly popular, but we had SO much to cover, and there was even an after party which I turned into a bonus episode for paid subscribers.
The return of Car Thoughts! I had also been getting a lot of questions about why I don’t do Car Thoughts anymore. So, I decided to fire one back up. This time, the short reflection is on the concept of “Engagement” in classrooms and how sometimes we are tempted to see evidence of student engagement as evidence of learning. Spoiler alert: it isn’t.

Episode 248 is a practical, hands on episode related to the nature of vowel sounds. In this one, I have basically created a lesson plan for you. For free! Check it out, adapt it, use it as you see fit!
Episode 249 welcomes the illustrious GOAT of choral repertoire compilations, Dr. Dennis Shrock to the show to discuss the idea of balancing the old with the new. The importance of including the historical great works in our growing pie of diversity.

I would also love to hear what you want to hear about in 2025 and 2026! You can also apply to appear on the show to discuss your passion points at Choralosophy.com
