May Episode Recap
Episode 250 marks the return of the “Oxford Series” on Choralosophy after an almost 1 year hiatus. (215 with Libby Larsen was the last one.) Edryn J. Coleman joined me to discuss a new project born of classroom experience post-pandemic. Kids STILL need quality repertoire. But skill gaps may have resulted in less access to the available rep choices. Tune in to find out what they did about it!
In Episode 251, I cracked open the audience mailbag! I answered several questions that may be “to short” to get there own podcast. Like “how do you pronounce Latin,” and “do all young singers struggle with either the ear or the breath?” I also read a sample of some not nice things that I received over the last year. Don’t miss this short one!

Episode 252 packs a major punch. Activist, consultant, educator and administrator Kareem J. Weaver joins me to compare notes on some of the procedural, AND ideological barriers we face when advocating for high literacy standards in both music education and “regular” education.
Most recently, Episode 253 is Choralosophy Community contributor and “friend of the pod” Chris Maunu and I discussing our roles as classroom choir director vs. community youth choir director while on the way to the airport in KC. This is an informative and informal short “Car Thoughts Episode.”

I would also love to hear what you want to hear about in 2025 and 2026! You can also apply to appear on the show to discuss your passion points at Choralosophy.com
