Happy Holidays! What a wild and festive season it’s been. We had some BLOCKBUSTER episodes, some internet drama that both did some damage, and brought a lot of new listeners and subscribers. But, putting opinions on the internet always brings the risk of drama. And as always, kept churning out FREE resources for educators, singers and fans of the Arts. Special thanks to the Patreon and Substack paid subscribers. We couldn’t do this without you! You can see ALL of the amazing organizations that support this show at Choralosophy.com/show-sponsors

New Year, New Show?
Yes and no. Choralosophy is approaching it’s SIX YEAR anniversary in February. The philosophy of programming since the beginning is to create “evergreen episodes.” Shows that can and have been valuable for directors the week they come out, AND 4 years later. If you are new to the show, I encourage you to scroll back through the library to find things that are useful! Music Literacy and Vocal Pedagogy episodes are even being collected at their own links.
In Episode 230 we are talking Enneagram with Sarah McMahill! The episode is in two parts, starting with a SHORT presentation by me on using Enneagram activities in your class, group or choir. Then Sarah joins me to discuss the interesting connections between Enneagram and Music. Episode 231 features Dr. Andrew Schmidt. This episode is centered around the importance of a process THEN product approach, as well as advocating a pedagogy that is closer to an instrumental music process than many of us may have considered in the vocal or general music setting.
Episode 232 is NEW this week, and welcomes Javiera Salvador all the way from Chile through the magic of the internet. We discuss the ways in which Choral music operates differently in the culture in Chile vs. the US.

And, of course, 2024 ended as is the show tradition, with a TOP TEN list, highlights, recap type episode from the past year. If you missed it, check it out here!

I hope you will drop YOUR personal favorites in the comments! I would also love to hear what you want to hear about in 2024! You can also apply to appear on the show to discuss your passion points at Choralosophy.com
